Let’s Build That Sofa: A Story of Creativity, Friendship, and a Door Too Small

Sometimes, creativity strikes when you least expect it. For me, it all started with something as simple as not having a sofa. When my friend Lisa came over one evening, we were excited to settle in, relax, and watch a movie—except, there was no comfy place to sit. Annoyed but inspired, we made a bold decision: let’s build our own sofa!

Armed with ideas, materials, and a lot of enthusiasm, we dove headfirst into our project. Over a few days, we crafted a masterpiece—something that didn’t just serve a purpose but had our personal touch. It was perfect. Almost.

The sofa, now standing proudly in my living room, had one flaw: it was too big for the door. Yes, the door was absurdly small (let’s just call it “quirky”), but our sofa? It was 200 × 100 × 80 cm and weighed 70 kg. A work of art, too bold for its own space.
